can't download any file with foreign text
 

I can't download anything that has any non-roman lettering in it - for example japanese files
Before I just get blocks and symbols would show up as the file name so I couldn't tell what I was looking at anyway. I figured out a way to get the foreign scripts to show up but I still can't download any of them.

This is not an issue of these files not being available on the network. This is my computer not being able to download them.
suggestions?
