File types

When I search the audio database, I only receive mp3s. My cd player will not play mp3s. How do I receive other types for my cd player?

rdsknz,

MP3 is a compression method to reduce the file size. You can, for example, put about 200 MP3 format songs on a standard CD.

If you use any CD copy program like Nero or MusicMatch they will convert the music back so it can be played on a standard player when they burn it onto a CD. Conversly if you want to transfer standard CD's to your computer they will "rip" them into MP3's and greatly reduce storage requirements.

MP3's can be played on your computer by almost any player program and on many newer CD players od DVD players.
