What is a "corrupt file"? Replies very much appreciated in advance!

Hi all,
Please can someone tell me why nearly all of my downloaded music files now come up with the message "file corrupted"?
I've tried many diff. sources with the same outcome.
What is a corrupt file? Have Limewire's parameters changed so that previously OK files now show up as corrupted?
Please help, I don't want to divorce Limewire!
Many thanks in advance for your replies and advice.

Not sure why this is happening for some people, but do you get the dialog that asks you if you want to continue? If so, continuing the download should correct any corruptions (failures to match the pieces sent/received).

If not, try setting your options back to default.
