What type of computer & OS are you using? Which 'exact' version of iTunes do you have on your iPod (I think I heard there's an update for it)? Have you tried moving your mp3's to another location out of the LW Dwnlds folder 1st? Is it only the mp3's in your LW folder it won't recognise/access the folder? How about other mp3's you have on your computer? Have you checked with Apple's website to see if there's any problems like this listed & solutions for it?

This update is less than 2 weeks old.

You still haven't told me which OS you're using. Do you know where your LW dwnld folder is? For MacOSX: go to your LW Prefs & look at Saving. This will tell you the name & location (path) to your LW dwnld folder. Go to Finder & use CMD+F & type in the name of this folder. When you find it, double-click it & it'll open for you. Drag & drop these files where you want to. Also, make an alias (CMD+L) of the folder & put that somewhere easy to find in future such as in the Dock. In any case, if you now know the folder's location, you can direct your iPod iTunes to that folder. Or direct it to the new location you've dragged the files to. Use Add to Library (CMD+O) within iTunes (not import!) to add these items to your iPod.

For pc, go to LW's menu-Options-Saving & that will tell you where your LW dwnld folder is located. Follow that path or use Explorer to locate the name of the folder. You can move the files from there to somewhere else OR Now you know its path, you can use 'Add to Library' command (not import!) within your iPod's iTunes directly to your LW dwnld folder. For the future, make a reference of your LW dwnld folder somewhere such as in Explorer so it's easy & quick to access.

I hope this solves the issue. By the way, the update is relevant for 'all' versions of iPod & for both Mac & Windows.

I made a minor error. Go to Limewire's menu bar at the top & look for 'Tools '. Under the Tools menu you'll see Options & within Options you'll have Saving. It is this Saving menu you need to find. Once you have found it, write down the name of the folder that is listed as the Save Directory. This is where your LW dwnlds will be. It will also be worthwhile writing down the directory path of the folder. Because this is where you need to direct your iPod iTunes to Add files from.

The other alternative is to change your LW dwnld location to somewhere in your Documents folder that is easy to locate. Do this by clicking the Save directory, directing a new path to Documents & creating a new folder in the Documents folder. However, you should add the other mp3's to your iPod 1st.
