Delete Limewire? You mean quit the application or uninstalling it? If you uninstalled it then reinstalled it without deleteing the preferences then the same preferences are kept, no matter how many times you uninstall/reinstall. Also, the incomplete dlds (includes files that are being dlded, not just killed dlds) are, how should I put this, "governed" by the downloads.dat file that can be found in the folder labeled Incomplete. A backup of this file (in case it gets corrupted) is download.bak. If the two are corrupted (I have no idea if .bak can get corrupted or not) then maybe you should just erase them, although this would mean that you'll have to restart all the downloads (that are not completed) from scratch.
Before deciding to do that though, you may want to try the following too:
-Run a Search for the dlds that are in Queued status. When you find the same dld in the search results, kill the dld and redld it. If you're lucky, the dld won't have the Queued status (it will pick up from where it left off when you killed it)
