Cant download anything other than Mp3's.
 

As the heading says I can only download songs off limewire not videos, software anything that aint music I cant get. And yes I am new user but thhat doesnt explain why I can only get songs and not the rest of the stuff. Any help please. Much thanks in advance. BTW im runniong on a DSL connection through a server, if that helps at all.

Sounds like a strange problem. What type of searches do you do? Dare I suggest the basic, but if you select audio type search in the search criteria in the search pane, then you will most likely only receive back audio files in your search results. If you want video, select the Video search tab, etc. For a general search select Any Type. The following image shows the different search tabs. At present the Any Type search is selected.

I am cirtain its the right search crtea as I do get results I do find what I am looking for its just that whenever I download somethjing it wont ...download I click download it says its conecting and then I get an error either more sources or something else. And this happens for every file type except mp3's. BTW I do all my searches in the basic search at first so i'm sure its not that, i find what i need but it wont DL.

May I suggest you only choose those files that have multiple star quality for dwnlding. That way you'll have a far greater chance of getting connected. Those with only 1 or 2 stars are difficult for anybody to connect to. Also it helps if there's moe than one source (ie: the same file is offered by a no. of people & in the search window results next to the quality & in the # column you'll see a no. which represents how many people offer that particular file. If you select that file to dwnld & it goes to not enough resources or busy/cue etc., then delete it from the dwnld list & reselect it from the search results. Do that a no. of times. If still no success, do another search for that item to see if you can find moe sources & then do as I suggested above. I hope this helps! Good luck!

thanks for this help. But the sad realty is that that wont work either no matter what I download regardless of the amount of sources, stars ect ect. I t just wont download. I guess this a pronblem that will never be solved.

Actually we're not LW just a forum. If I can make a suggestion just to try: go to LW menu Tools-Options-Speed & untick OOB Searching & see if this makes any difference. It might not & it's purely a 'stab in the dark' from my point of view. But heh why not try it. If it improves it, it improves it, but then maybe not.
Again, make sure you have as high as possible quality stars & preferably more than one source. You could even go to your Tools-Options-Searching-Quality & select show only 3 & 4 stars or just 4 stars. This will lessen the chance of you connecting to a poor connector source that's within a group of sources.

Heh, thanks. I know that this was just a forum for help and chat thats why im here even if no is directly from limewire atleast some might be able to help. Thanks for the advice I will go try it now.
