HELP! "Corrupted File" Message Everytime I download mp3's from LimeWire

I just upgraded to the new Limewire 4.0.8 and everytime I try to download a music mp3 file it says that the file is corrupted and I chjose to not save it. The few I have saved were corrupted and would not play. I also can not delete them from the library no matter what I try. I have only been able to successfully download 1 mp3song but I tried to download alot. This never happened to me before I upgraded to limewire 4.0.8. Is there some setting that needs changing. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers,
James

Hi did you read: Sticky: *DOWNLOADS "Corrupt File" Message* - Corrupt Files Setting http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=24488 I hope this sorts your problem. Good luck!

Thank You LOR for the Reply. Yes I did read that thread but unlike the guy in that thread when that box popped up I said "No" do not continue download. A few times I said to continue the download and those files were corrupted. The weird thing is it says the file is corrupted everytime I try to download something and I never had this problem before I upgrade today to version 4.0.8. Any other insight...HELP...Please

Sorry no, not at present. There definitely are a percentage of files out there that are corrupt at the source, May I ask what % of the files you dwnld are corrupted? And are these all different types of files or of the same kind? Movies & apps I believe are the 2 most frequent to be corrupted at their source. It doesn't happen to everybody for the same version so there must be an explanation/reason. Sorry I can't help more at present but hopefully somebody with more of the right type of experience will find some possible source of the problem.

Thanks again. I download mp3 music files and I would say my percentage is like %95 of corrupted files.

Thank you for your reply. How do I know what files are shared by the most people? Where do I look to get that information? What is a bitzi lookup? I have never done that before.
Thank you for your help.

The one part of your question I can answer is : www.bitzi.com I haven't quite worked out yet where, but Im sure you will find the spot (dare I say it, just list a complaint/queastion & it'll probably end up in the right place.) Actually it'd be good if you find the exact right section of the forum to report it back to us. (Perhaps my patience for searching was a bit warn out at the time.) I've heard bitzi is where people report good/corrupt files & many other things.

I really appreciate your help.
My Operating System is
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002
What other information would be helpful?
I don't see that little arrow on the upper left side of the search. Are you running LimeWire 4.0.8

Peerless was refering to the 2nd column in the search results under the column labelled #, which represents the no. of sources you've been able to locate during that search. You know it'd help us heaps if you could supply a few fundamental details such your OS update, ram, HDD size, type of connection, (b/c basically we get windws/mac/linex, other) which all have ther own requirements. Knowing which platform would help us a lot to understanding your problem. Not to asy we will, but we'll try. But U must help us 1st.

You guys rock...I appreciate the help. I will answer any question you need to help. I did find the number sign...thank you. But when I dowload the files with the highest numbers the files are still corrupted...hmmm. Why is that?
