everybody uploading-i don't dwnld?!feel cheated
 

using mac osx:
before everything else i have read previous threads and adjusted my computer to their suggestions for maximum upload/download possibilities.....but still.....
i'm sharing quite a sustantial amount of files with quite a few hundred if not thousand already uploaded by others, so why is it that leaving my computer on for 24hrs past the 4 days i have not been successful with a download(movie files) and that the file i keep trying to download has been successfully downloaded by others about 600 times?!!i keep recieving awaiting sources and speed going at 1/2KBs/s? and one file has only just reached 76% after 4 days?am i a complete dimwit?please correct me as i feel cheated by others taking my files and having none on return....

If I understand you correctly, the pieces of the file you are downloading are also being shared by PFS ("Partial File Sharing"). The complete file hasn't been shared "600" times--just some chunks of it.

So--that likely means the original few sources of the file are very busy, but once one of the new rarer pieces is available in the download mesh, everyone gets to grab it.

You are sharing the pieces you got, others are sharing the pieces they got, and the original source(s) on their busy/slow connection are slowly offering the pieces no one else has.

Keep on sharing--sounds like you have a great connection and setup.

I don't think anyone else could download it either having the same amount of time. what might be the cause is that sometimes the file isn't very popular and there aren't alot of hosts therefore the connection will be slow and say things like awaiting sources etc. other people might also be downloading from the host which you are downloading the movie from so his connection might be slower.
I'm on 24/7 and my downloads in the category of movies haven't reached your point yet so consider yourself lucky that you got that
just be patient and you'll get the file eventually
