Selected items queueing but never downloading

I use W2K so some of the information I present may not be the same on your computer.

After using limeware for only a few days I began to experience the problem where I could select something for download, but it would only queue up and never go anywhere. I could delete these queued downloads from the Incomplete folder in the library, but they would come back the next time I started Limeware.

Also, when I would connect to Limewire I would get 3 errors. I did not write them down, but it was a java error - something about a nullpointer.

After searching through the forum and not finding an answer I started trying a few different things. I found that if you navigate to Limeware's Incomplete directory on your HD and delete the downloads.bak & downloads.dat files the previously deleted incomplete downloads do not return when you start Limewire back up again, but this does not solve the queueing problem.

I uninstalled v4.0.7 and installed 4.0.8 and still had the problem.

I realized I had installed a couple of applications before the problem started, after installing Limewire, so I uninstalled them. I believe one was a torrent program and the other was an MPEG/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter. (moderator, if I can't say it was cucusoft, then hide this section in parentheses, and I apologize). I'm pretty sure the queueing problem did not exist following installing the torrent program. I then uninstalled v4.0.8, deleted the directory where Limewire had been in Program Files (they were not removed automatically) and all the files left in it, and then removed all references to Limewire in the registry (The last step may have been unnecessary, so if you are uncomfortable changing your registry skip that step and see if it works). I then reinstalled v4.0.8 and was able to download files that I previously was not able to. I am now back up and running.
