queue position changes all the time Hello, I have been using Lime-Wire for a few months now and have noticed that my position in the queue changes all the time. Sometimes I get to position 1, and when I next look I am back at position 10 or worse. Why does this happen? Is there a way to hold queue position (I will go Pro if this will hold queue position). Thanks, Joe |
Going Pro won't do anything about this. It's mostly because of what happens at the other end of the telephone line. If the other user is busy, then you're gonna wait, and wait, and wait. And then, you're probably gonna wait some more. Try doing a search for the dld again to see if LW can pick up any new sources to dld from. |
Its also possible that Limewire is resetting the queue, I donīt know exatly how long Limewire saves the queue places but it isnīt very much. Trap_jaw4 knows it. Morgwen |
LimeWire doesn't reset your queue slot unless your TCP connection times out (usually when you don't respond within 120 seconds). |
Thanks very much to everyone who replied to my post. I understand this a lot better now. Joe |
