Finally connected, now nothing will download...

Whats up,

I've been having problem after problem with Limewire. First i couldnt connect so i opened up the ports on my hardware firewall that Limewire uses and dissabled the windows XP firewall and still couldnt connect, finally i deleted my prefrences folder and after that I connect NP. Now im having another annoing problem. After i racked up about 150 songs and videos to download I noticed not a single one had started yet! Well actually one had started but it was going at like 2k/s. Anyways, I love Limewire, used it at a friends house and it worked great, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanx!

go to tools, options, downloads and decide there how many downloads you want at a time.

ps I won't start with downloading 150 files I'm not shure LW can handle all that, though I've never tried it.

Thats one of the first things i did, set it to 50 and everything is still either connecting... or Need more sources. And I put some more popular songs on my list to make sure people really just didnt have the files but thats not the problem.

The number of connections is limited by your OS. And how many simulate downloads is limited by your connection (if you have set up it right), normally many of the downloads will pause.

Need more sources simply says that there isnīt a user which offers the file at the moment. Its possible that you searched a file and found a user but when you want to start the download the host is offline.

How many sources have the popular songs? Are other people downloading from you?

Originally i didnt have too many popular songs on my list so i threw in some 50 cent, ****. Every single one says "Need more sources" with the exception of about 5 that are 'Connecting...' And it doesnt seem like anyone can downlaod off me either. I put my 2500 MP3s into my Lybrary and left it on for a few hours and didnt upload a song...but on the other hand i listen to punk/underground rap and none of my music is mainstream.

But you can search? If not make sure you are connected.

Ok, turns out i can send files just fine, i left it on last night and sent 10 files, my search works also. I just cant download. Also my program seems very bugged, it freezes qute often and the screen gets all scrambled.

Did you upgrade to SP2? SP2 limits your connection to 10 and some users have problem with SP2. Look here:
