Download speed

Modem is 56K. I can only download files at 3 kb/s or so. Why?
Platform XP, 512 MB RAM, 1750 MHz Athlon Processor.

Unfortunately, that's about how fast it usually downloads with modem connection. Nothing really you can do there, unless you upgrade to broadband or dsl.

There is nothing wrong with your computer.
