unable to download HI I have used limewire for about 6 months but all of a sudden I am now unable to download anything. I have XP on my laptop and limewire 4.0.8. I think I have removed all firewalls from my computer and I have added the 2 gnutella 6346 thingys. My internet connection is cable and running at 100mbps according to the 2 flashing computers on the bottom right of my screen. The problem the quality (bottom left) says excellent and I have 129 shared files, but after I do a search and try to dwnload it just say connecting for between 5-15 minutes and then it says Need More Sources. I tried to download something that had 56 users and it still did not download can someone give me any advise. I am also using useing a network connect but I have download things it the past on this connect so i don;t think it is that. |
What's your answer to this test true/false: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...757#post103757 You can try deleting your LW preferences (but make a note of your settings 1st.) Prefs: Where to find them: OS X: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire Windows: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire Linux: ~/.limewire |
It says false but I have done the things on the link on that page. also todelete the prefs do I delete the whole folder or a file in the folder? |
When I went vackand looked at the two Gnutella thigs in the internet settings my computer had changed the number 127.0.0.1 to my name is this normal? |
