codecs

well my computer automatically downloads it , why what am i doing wrong?

Your computer downloads the Microsoft aproved ones, not the ones you really need.
Do a search for codecs on this forum.
Or have a look here http://nimo.titanesk.com/

I tried downloading the codecs available from limewire, and I am now getting the message " one or more codecs is needed to play file"!

well after much trial and error i got it straitened out! i guess i just had the wrong player. thanks a zillion for all the help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
