Queued Problems No matter what file, song, movie I try to download.. It automatically queues it and wont let me download it. Any ideas? |
LIME WIRE IS NO LONGER COOL! This happens to me to! Win XP, SP2, Sygate software & Linksys hardware firewalls (doesn't work when both are bypassed) |
After you open LW, (depending on how many dwnlds you have) you should wait several mins for LW to settle down before searching & dwnlding. nactownplaya : You need to forward a port on your Linksys modem. What model no. is it & I'll help you to do it? In the meantime can you both do this test Bug Report instructions & sample image & report back whether your results are True or False. If it's false then yu need some help. Sinneslust : Can you tell us what modem you use & its model no. & also any firewalls you use. |
Thanks for you help Lord! My Linksys model number is BEFSX41. I have already forwarded port 6346 for LW and have the settings for the port and firewall options in LW on 6346 as well (I have also tried with "force ip" on and off). Also, I ran the bug test and the results were true. I can download one song every now and then, but 99% of the time I get a "Queued" and then a "Need More Sources". I am very confused because I know the program can get through the firewall, but I can download a file every now and then. Once again thanks for your help! - Preston |
nactownplayaz: If an item has been dwnlding & stops. Sometimes you can delete it from the dwnld list & re-select it from the search results & it will start dwnlding again. Alternatively you can use resume. But I don't recommend you use resume on many files & best if they've previously ben dwnlding earlier in that same session. Both these techniques can also be applied to queued files. Here's some hints: Search & dwnld hints , & also these 'might' be of benefit Optimising LW & maximising upld & dwnld pt A (1st post only) , & also Optimising part B By the way, try not to force resume a great no. of files. This will result in queuing for very long periods of time & can also affect your connection quality. By the way, keep force ip on! :D |
