skips on playback

The downloads are fine, but when I play them back, the songs skip. Does anyone know why this happens?

What player are you useing. I reccoment useing WinAmp to play mp3's. If the song still skips, just try to find a different version of it. TIP: make sure the bitrate of the song is at least 192kbps. The higher the bitrate the higher quality the song is.
