Can't Upload
 

Here's what's happening. I cant upload any files. I know I set up Limewire correctly. I just found out if I enable partial sharing it will upload files but only the files I'm downloading. :confused:

Limewire 4.2.5
Windows XP SP2
Windows Firewall
Norton Anti-Virus 2005 Firewall
Linksys router Firewall
NAT
SBC DSL

You have a lot of firewall types there. Have you configured them? After LW's been open for say 30 mins do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image If it's says false then it will either be or both the firewalls & your nat router. If you tell us the model number of your Linksys I'll see if I can find specific instructions for forwarding a port to allow LW access.

You will also need to force ip within LW: Force IP instructions & sample image

It does say false. WRT54G is the model number for the router. I've already tryed forwarding the port and forcing the ip in limewire and it doesn't work. Also tryed turning off the two software firewalls and that doesnt work either.

Thanks for getting back those answers. I'd suggest you may have missed something. Perhaps in your port forwarding. You must set up a Static IP Address or else the next time you log onto the computer it will be allocated a different address & your efforts will have been in vain. & don't forget to save your settings. I don't use the same type of router but with some you also need to reboot the modem-router after you've made these changes. Oh & of course use Port 6346

Oh I posted the wrong model for a minute! wrv instead of wrt lol :D

I double checked my router settings and realised I didn't have the enable box checked for the port forwarding ( :rolleyes: ). So now its working fine. Thanks for all the help man. I just have one more question... in the library tab in limewire, what does the locations mean? I think it should say 1 or more but it says 0 on all the files.
