Problem with Copying to CD-Help!
 

Hello, I am new to this and trying to make Christmas CD's as gifts. I have downloaded the songs onto Limewire, and now have them downloaded to Windows Media. The songs were in MP3 form from limewire. I was able to burn the songs, thru windows media on to a CD and I thought all went well. I went to play the CD and there is nothing! What have I done wrong?

Most likely you've burnt them too fast. Try the minimum burn speed setting. (the default for many apps is to burn at maximum speed - see WMP burn preferences.) Also make sure you are using a cd-r & not a cd-rw.

In addition to the 'minimum speed' comments from LotR, avoid doing other things with your machine while you are burning anything !
If you have a DownLoad running and it completes while you are burning... and you have virus scanning running as well on that newest DownLoad... and the new DownLoaded file is also being 'hashed', you are going to have some CPU usage conflicts and the 'burn' is almost certainly going to be the bit that 'suffers' !

Slow and simple is the rule for quality... (Hey... Forget quality ! It's the rule if you want the CDs to play at all !)
