force resume 4.2.6 since ive loaded 4.2.6 ive noticed that when i apply a force resume on a partially downloaded file that is a/w sources the file reverts to 0% downloaded. I tried it on some low % files they were ok but whwn tried on high % files they reverted to 0%. Ive stopped for now as i dont want to loose any more effort. This did not happen before 4.2.6. Is this now the norm or is it a bug. |
I would normally tell people to never use the Force Resume function. It is generally trouble-some. This is not a bug, it's been long with LW. Just searching for sources will be more effective, safer for your dwnlds & the gnutella network, & will stop your LW from overworking itself, & much longer queuing that's involved with it. There's some differences b/w resume & force resume but they will both end up queuing files for a long time if applied to many files. Better hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. |
