Help i cant download limewire

on the download page the quicktime icon appears after a little while and it is broken as if there is something wrong.. I downloaded the latest version of quicktime and then went back to the download page and then it says to perform this operation quicktime needs additional software but unfortunatly this software is not avaliable on the quicktime website.. anyone experienced with this? could it have something to do with needing to update java?

I do not understand. Please explain. Is your LimeWire Installer that you are trying to download appearing as a quicktime file? Or are you downloading something with Limewire that will not play correctly? What OS are you running?

Post again, and we'll see what we can come up with. :-)

I'm getting the same problem... when you click on the link to download limewire from their site, a web page is prsented with a quicktime logo displayed whilst the install exe file is being down loaded.

once the exe file is downloaded the QT logo changes into a QT Movie logo and a message is then displayed

'QuickTime is missing software that required to performe this operation. Unfortunatly, it is not available on the QuickTime server.'

it doesn't tell you what program is missing, where you can get it from or what to do to resolve the problem.

i am running windows ME and have reinstalled QT and this has not resolver the problem, please help...

Something is wrong with your browser configuration. But you can still download LW. Instead of clicking on the link, right-click it and click "Save Target As." A dialog pops up asking you to choose a download location. Choose and begin your download.

Did this work? If not, post again. :-)

I'm having the same problem, getting the Quick Time message while trying to dl limewire. I am also running Windows ME.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

What message are you getting? Is it a written message, or a broken quicktime image? Does the above solution work for you? If not, please describe what happens.
:-)
