Installation Problems

I am trying to install limewire. InstallShield gets to 98% complete "registering product" when the Install quits. Have updated InstallShield drivers etc... with no joy. Any suggestions...????

then try the LW installer again. The last stage in the install process is to install Java if you don't have at least version 1.3 but it's much better to install a later version of Java 1st.

Have installed Java 1.4.2_06 and still the problem exists as suggested. Installshield Wiz continues to shut down around the 98% complete area with dialog message box "The wizard was interrupted before LimeWirecould be completely intalled" Anymore suggestions.???

Update your installshield install engine.

Back, again.... IntallShield drivers up to date....Java up to date.... Still auto aborting on install at 98% completed "Publishing Product Information" section. Any further tips or am I never to be able to access LimeWire??? Any help would be appreciated.

As a last resort, try the international installer. This is a standalone installer. It uses a different type of installer & solves most installation issues. If you still have a problem, then the problem is with your computer. I'd do a complete check over with all utilities to ensure your system is ok & no file structure or directory damage anywhere. Do NOT run other applications whilst attempting to install LW!
