running downloaded software problem

I downloaded some software and when I try to run it I get the error message Liveware will not launch the selected for security reasons. Any suggestions.

LW can NOT launch anything else other than multimedia files such as images, movies or music. You cannot launch games or programs via LW!

Then how do I launch it?

Hide LW away in the bar, & open the program/game on the desktop. If it's a zip then you'll need to unzip it. If it's an exe then you should be able to open it by double-clicking it. If it's a disk image format then you'll need to burn it to cd 1st.
