Can't move to library? 100%

hi

i am now getting a message that downloads are 100% in one second but that they cannot be used, saved, or heard. Namely it says that they cannot be moved to my library. what gives? also i get a notice that there has been an internal lime wire failure. i cleaned up all of my viruses last night and i have symantec antivirus. is there anything else that i can do to get my snail-paced but sick downloads streaming back onto my pc??

thanks a bunch

-Sthanks a bunch 100%

We're not discussing iTunes, which is different software althogether, we all share the same problem with Limewire, and no I have 3 different programs to hunt ad ware and spy ware, I have a bundled security package with Norton, my system is clean, Limewire is just a poorly written program.

Mmmmm.

No, I can't seem to be able to agree with you here. Just because something doesn't work right for someone it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad product (if you think about it, that's true with just about anything in the world): computer configurations are only too different from one household to another so where something will work perfectly for one will not work for another. If there's an internal system failure it can't be just because of the program: something else must have worked in conjunction to initiate the failure, right?
Sooooo, as much of a pain as this might seem, I suggest at least one of you (you can decide between you who will do it) completely removes LW from their PC. That's uninstalling LW and deleting the LW preferences folder. Then, the volunteer should update their Java (unless it's already up-to-date) and redld and reinstall LW. After that, they should come back and post the results for the rest: if it works then there's no need to try anything else (I hope)

100%

been there, done that.

I do have a virus/spy stuck on my homepage browser that I and school IT department have been unable to shake off with spyware and symantec. maybe it's that. not sure I am not a hacker.

Best,
Sus

Like the post above I have been down this road, I have the latest of everything that can be gotten, Java, LW, All the MS Critical updates, Norton checks daily for updates, I have performed all those actions you have posted and like the posting above it doesnt work, poorly written program...

susannahhill is it possible for you to set up a different user account? And one you know you have full authority to access (& LW will have permissions to save to.) Ensure the system is clean. Install LW or even the beta: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml

If still no luck, you could try these: Fixes for Limewire
