ive done that, 4 times. it still doesnt seem to work. i had someones IP adress and entered that, and was able to download songs from them, so i am connected, i am sharing 486 files, i can download, i can pretty much do everything on here, except search. searching is the only thing that doesnt work.

Default i cant search for any files. everything else works. i can even direct connect and d/l

i cant search for any files. everything else works. people can upload fromme, if i have an ip address, i can direct connect and download from them, and it says i have a excellent connection. ive forced the ip address four times, each time renaming it as gnutella, or 127.0blahblahblah, and having the ip as 6346 or whatever the site gave. it still doesnt seem to work. i had someones IP adress and entered that, and was able to download songs from them, so i am connected, i am sharing 486 files, i can download, i can pretty much do everything on here, except search. searching is the only thing that doesnt work.

1. Leave LW open for perhaps an hour & tell me if you can search then.

2. After LW's been on for at least 30 mins, Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False?

3. After you open LW it's always best to allow it to settle down. It needs to load shared & incomplete files which may take a while. It will also try to connect to each incomplete file. So be patient & give it time. Rushing in & searching whilst LW is preoccupied may give you minimal results.

4. Don't use the Resume button on too many (if any) files. This can slow LW down & affect it's connection quality. It will also make your files queued for much longer & preoccupy it so searching is difficult. Manual searching is much moe effective & healthier for LW, your comp, & the gnutella network.

5. You could also try some Fixes for Limewire
