Downloads not working!

Hey,

I'm using Mac OS X, incase it maters and my problem is that when I click to download a file it just says connecting for a long time and then the whole awaiting sources, etc. And the dumb thing is I'm an ultrapeer and I can upload files no problem. Also it says that my connection quality is poor, fair or good, not Turbo Charged anymore when I look at my connections tab I have a lot of connections. Like 21 peers and a couple leaves. Can anyone help me out!!

Graham

P.S. - The files I am downloading all have like 10 or more copies.

I'm in Canada, but other people I know aren't having the same problem here.

Sticky: Newbie's Guide To Writing A Good Thread might want to read this. I presently have 32 peers and 32 leaves. I still get the same results. If a host is not available to download from or is busy. you will get awaitng busy host; waiting for sources; or needs more sources. I get those responses all the time. I just leave them alone and eventually it will connect and download. I have also read that it is not good to click resume/find sources to many times if at all, as this is hard on the machine and network.

But LimeWire used to be instant on my downloads, that's why I'm asking.

The only thing I can think of is as more users become aware of this nicely put together program. Is that it may be network congestion. or the popularity of the file.

As an afterthought it might also be that the hosts ISP may be blocking P2P uploads. Don't know an expert would have to answer that.
