monitoring uploads

hi all

how do i monitor the files that others are downloading from me? in the monitor window, the uploads section remains empty (0 uploads, 0 active) even if the counter in the bottom left corner says i'm sharing hundreds of files. any suggestions?

That possibly means you are firewalled either thru softw firewalls on your computer or more than likely a NAT firewall in your modem/router.

After LW has been open at least 30 mins, Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False? If false then there's a firewall at least partially blocking somewhere.

Did you configure your firewalls for LW's access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version?
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram? 4. HDD space available?
5. Connection type?
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?

If you are using Win XP is that SP1 or SP2? (SP2 reduces the number of simultaneous connections.)

nevermind, uploads are working now

Thought I was having a problem with uploads, but there are some going on now - thanks for the settings and information in the forum - they worked just fine.

I am having the same problem.

I am sharing 782 files but none are being downloaded by other people. I did the bug report and where it says "received incoming this session" it comes back true...I don't know what to do and I want to share my files!

Here's my specs:
Windows XP pro
pentium 4 2Ghz processor, 512 ram
ZoneAlarm firewall
Limewire 4.10.5 (basic)
AVG free
cable modem

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to your LW Library window & select one of your shared folders. Look to the right of the files listed so see if there's been any uploaded (column to the right.) You can also enable partial file sharing if you like which may increase your opportunities are uploading. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Uploads>Basic & tick option for partial file sharing. Make sure you have at least one upload slot.
