Um not much detail. What do you mean you paid for the update? Did you buy it at the official Limewire website? http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml And is it called LW Pro when you look at the About LW under the help menu? When it opens does it come up with a window asking to update to pro? Which version is it?

We need some more details. It's difficult to understand your problem.
Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram? 4. HDD space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dial up/cable/broadband)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. Which version of Limewire & Java do you have?
9. Explain in detail what happens when you open LW.

I'm having the same problem and as I was looking for answers I see that lots of people are having the same issue. Although we got great downloads with our previous versions of LW once we paid for LW pro our downloads have slowed to a crawl. It's funny though cuz I've had Pro for about 6 months and it's only started giving me this insanely slow downloads within about a month I'd say. Anyone know of having anything that may have changed to cause Pro to be doing this for some people.

Hmmm I still don't see any of the information LotR asked for.

Have you contacted your ISP to see if they are restricting p2p applications. It seems here in the last month or so, several ISPs have been doing this, without notifying the subscribers to the service they provide, or just flat out denying it until they are caught.
