when i double click to preview the vid, it prompts that the .wmv file is not recognized by quicktime. How do I configure Limewire to open Windows media Player instead of Quicktime???

I'm not sure which operating system your using, but in WindowsXP here goes.
Open windows explorer. Locate a *.wmv file. Highlight the file then single right click. Chose open with select the program you wish to open this type of file (ie. wmp). check the box towards the bottom- always use the selected program to open this type of file Done |

If you're using mac then you'd better tell us. The WMP for mac sucks compared to the windows version. Better for mac is VLC (choose nearest mirror site)
