I have a question... I noticed that it is better for me to download two or more episodes/movies at a time. When I download two movies both top off at around 40 kb/s, or split 40/50. Not extremely fast, yet fast enough for my tastes....Sometimes I can d/l one episode at a time and it will go fast, however my fastest speeds come with multiple downloads. I found this to be quite odd and I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. BTW, I have SDSL with a Linksys router and I am firewalled with Windows XP SP2....This is not a problem, yet I am just curious. I am new to learning firewalls and modems, etc... |
Well this was a little trick I learned from Peerless the other day. In LW 1) tools 2) options 3) downloads - Increase the size of maximum downloads to say 50. I found it allowed me to connect to more hosts while d/ling increasing my d/l speed. |
Thanks for the info! I will try it out...Yet, is there a chance that this may be too much for my bandwith?? |
I'm not sure but this link provides a good description of the different connection types and there speeds. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...highlight=SDSL |
