Ultra Fast Download Speed Holy cow! I was watching an upload on my monitor last night and they were uploading at 50kb and up. How they do that? My downloads rarely exceed 25 or 30KB and most of the time they run between 3 to 15KB. I have configuered LW to the specs available here in the forum, (remember I am brand new at this). My max downloads are set at 4, with bandwidth at 100%. Max upload speed 50% with a max of 3 per person and max of 20. I have Windows XP running through cable with a Linksys router, Dell Demension 2350 with a Pentium 4 processor. CPU usage is always at about 5% OR LESS. Any thing I can do to speed up my DL? TIA! |
In LW increase you max. downloads to say about 50. That should allow you to connect to more hosts if they are available for that file. A little trick I learned from Peerless last week. Don't forget though that your d/l speed will also be effected by the max. u/l speed of the host or hosts. |
