Damn!

I was running Limewire when my computer locked up. Somehow, I guess with my random hitting keys, it deleted all the files from the library! Also from the folder I had specified as the path, is there a way to undo this? Will system restore fix it?

It wsounds as though your LW settings have become corrupt. It means you should delete them whilst LW is closed. Then next time you open LW you'll need to reset them. A pain perhaps but it's better to do that. (You could try a system restore but ...)

LW Preferences are called .limewire intructions on how to find them are here: Fixes for Limewire

It completely deleted them, I can't even find them on my computer anymore. How can I restore them?

Sorry I don't have XP. Someone else will need to help you there.

Did you use your XP search engine to search for these files? Search for mp3 for example or another keyword like shared or ...

In windowsXP you can 1)start 2)search 3) all files and folders - all or part of the file name {type in what type of file your loking for ie *.mp3}, a word or phrase in the file - self explanatory -, look in - local hard drives -

That should locate any of the file types or phrases you searched for and return a location.

Just as thought you can check your recycle bin just in case they were deleted and sent there. If they are you can restore those files.

I'm not certain if a system restore to a previous point would recover the files or not. That is mainly used when you have installed an application, and it isn't working properly. What it does is basicaly rolls back the registry entries.

Or in the worst case you can "google" for undelete software.
