Learn how to use it. lol
You need to search for the topic so you have sources available to downld from. Don't use the Find Sources button on all your downlds to continue them after you've started. Search the topic. If the file stops downlding then select the file in the downld list & press stop. Then go back to the search results & select & press downld again. This is a very effective method to get files to restart. Occasionally doing searches to find new/fresh sources. Using the find sources is best if you have already been downlding it earlier in the same session (& also if you have the search results available.)Also see User Guide Here's some tips on optimising LW: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...028#post116028 |

It sounds like you're totally firewalled from accessing the G network. What connection quality are you getting?
Try this: Use a AnyType search & type in The Beatles Do you get any results? Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) 2. What firewalls you have? 3. Ram? 4. HDD space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) These details are vital if you want us to find out what your problem is. |
