I am a new user and having problems with some downloaded video files I find I cannot play any file with a Nullsoft Video sign when it starts although it shows the content to be there

can anyone please help

I don't know what brand that is but it sounds like you should make your default player the default to play those files. See: Setting Default video app Hope this helps.
