Hey! I have AMD Athlon 3.2,1gb ram.I don't use any routers.I have cable internet from adelphia.I can't understand what is wrong with my computer, because everything else runs great. Here is the problem:downloading starts, everything looks cool for about one minute and suddenly speed drops very quick to 0kb and never starts again.I had the same problem with emule and kazaa...Can anyone,PLEASE,help me with this problem?I don't know a lot about computers, just love playing games and listening to the music but now i can;t download any of them.I would be glad,if someone can help.

Sounds highly suspicious! Like your ISP is using some type of p2p filter. You could try a proxy. Have a look here: A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire pages 1 & 2 which has a link to alternative instructions.

Sometimes you need to try out different proxies if that's the direction you're going.

It really helps to get good results if people are uplding from you.

OK,i tried 5 of them already. If i can't connect with LW to the internet,is that means that proxy I used sucks?I did the proxy's check but how can I know If the result of this checking is good? And I'm sorry about being pain in the ***,I just want to be able to use LW again and only you can help

I have a suspicion you haven't set your LW & the proxies up properly. You can follow NeOteric's instructions to the letter or these instructions: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...064#post124064
NeOteric did tell me via pm he had to try many proxies before one worked. Try varying your port number. Whichever port you use in the Proxy setting you should also use in the firewall setting for listening port. eg: if the proxy port is set to 3380 then the listening port also set to 3380. ie: Tools>Options>Advanced>Proxy port no. & Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall listening port should be the same. Whichever port no. you try.

If all this fails you could always try Bearshare but my thoughts are it will have the exact same problems: http://www.bearshare.com/downloads.htm
