I cant find anything - new user - help!
 

I'm new to limewire and have installed all that's needed.

However I simply cannot find anything!

Using search on any type I just cannot upload anything.

The lime in the top corner's spinning and it definately is thinking about it but nothing happens!

Keyword 'beatles' - now that should guarantee results - not so.

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...)
9. Who is your ISP provider?
10. Is this the 1st time you've used LW? If not, is this a new problem?

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False?

Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say ‘Test Page was a Success’. What happens when you go there?

7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? - HOME
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) - 4.8.1.0 - Java\j2re1.4.2_03
9. Who is your ISP provider? - PIPEX
10. Is this the 1st time you've used LW? If not, is this a new problem? - 1ST TIME

OK at test the last test was fine. Um the bug test for true or false is about half way down give or take - but should be done when LW's been open for at least 20 mins. Need look carefully.

Have you configured your firewalls for LW to have full access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Exactly which model of SPEEDTOUCH do you have? It might make some difference.
