Default Corrupt File Unable to be deleted

There is a rather large song that for some reason or another decided not to finish downloading. It is almost 90mb large, and i have a small hard drive space, so i need as much room as possible. It will not delete! When I clean out my old corrupt files, i have to select all but it because when it is "deleted", that is, selected and the command is carried out, no pop up asking if it should be deleted or not comes up. It acts as if its not recognising my command for it to disapear. I have tried cutting and pasting into other folders, i have tried deleting it in numerous ways. I want it gone!

Have you tried starting winXP in safe made, and using windows explorer to locate and delete the file that way.

Hmmm this might be difficult. Have you tried putting in your windowsXP cd and tried repairing. your master boot record(MBR) or some of the other repair options.

You will need to let it start (boot) the comp. from the cd.

The only other option I can think of is for you to restore your system to a previous point before you d/l the file. This may have some other side effects also with anything you have done after that time.
