99% Download Changes to 45%
 

Hello
Just installed Limewire last week, everything working well & had some good downloads - but just one strange thing happening occasionaly. I was downloading a large file, left my PC running all night and found that I had completed 99% the following morning.
After getting showered/dressed etc, I went to turn off the PC expecting download to have completed but it was back to 46%. It wasn't verifying the download and still had the 4 hosts.

Can anybody explain why it should do this? I'm on the second day of trying to download and it's now at 77% with 5 hosts.

That usually means the file discovered a corruption, and redownloaded the necessary parts.

LW will only try a few more times, then give up if it is truly corrupt. Hope that's not the case for you.

You could be right...it's attempting it's third download now. It's in the 'Incomplete' folder and I tried to run it. The length is correct but there are are quite a few 'wobbly' bits throughout. I've evn tried it on the other well-known file-sharing prog beginning with 'K' but it doesn't have the entire film, only clips.
