Sharing Problems/Questions
 

It appears that not all the files that I am sharing are not being shared. I am sharing 100 files aprox. 22 gb all files have been tested none are corrupt and all are complete and working when I downloaded them they were the most popular 5 to 100 in the quanity collum. I am running 2 opperating systems on my computer Windows XP Pro on on C drive & Windows XP Pro 64 on D drive single boot, limewire Pro 4.8.1 on both. When running on C limewire shows 2 files that are getting hits,downloads & locations some times it will show Lic & sometimes not for all files. When running on D drive it shows 5 and they are diffrent files than the ones that are being hit on C. Limewire is set up the same on both drives the files that are getting hits are getting 1000s of hits earlier versions of Limewire showed allot of hits on all files so I think somthing is wrong maby a bug or I have somthing set up wrong. I also downloaded WinMX and ran it used the same share folder and all files got hits and uploades so I am pretty sure there is a problem. Any sugestions would be appricated. Thanks for the info. It makes a big difference.

I'm not quite sure what is causing your problem, but I have a couple of suggestions that may or may not help.

In LW tools>options>sharing --- this windows displays the folders you are sharing, You can click add and search for folders you would like to add.

This may seem silly but did you add the correct folder, and not a sub folder.

You can also check this in the LW library by highlighting the folder you are sharing. This should list either subfolders or files that are being shared in your paricular case.

If that didn't help might I suggest fixes for LimeWire. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420

Thanks for the sugestions fabion I am running JAVA 1.5.0.20 update 2, which is the latest I can find. I am sharing the correct folder's,and I have alredy tried the fixes for LimeWire. I should have put that in my last post. When I click on the library tab all files that I am shareing appear in the library but for some reason they are not getting hits or request for them and I know they are popular files when I share the same folders on WinMX there will be 100 people Qued and at least 30 diffrent files in a days time I will see 90 of my files qued. Thanks Again any sugestions apriciated.
