Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

2. Update your Java (see link above.)

3. Consider updating to the newer LW version 4.8.1 It will be healthier for the network for a start. I've heard some people don't allow older versions of LW & simply block them from uplding.

4. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue!
