Windows Media Player won't play some files...

I've downloaded quite a few songs now and I use Windows Media Player to play all of my music. I've noticed that some of the new songs that have just come out won't play with Windows Media Player. It plays fine with Lime Wire's music player, but when I try to play them with WMP I get this message... "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." I was wondering if anyone knows what to do about this? I've been looking around for codecs, but none seem to work. Thanks.

It may well be a codec issue. I'm not a great knowledge on WMP, but I could recommend a player that does play all b/c it has its own built in set of codecs & still with the option to downld more if needed. I'm refering to QCD: http://www.quinnware.com/
