zip file haunting in complete folder i accidently downloaded this zipfile. i disconnected and when i went to delete it, it was in the COMPLETE folder (never seen that folder before but attributes tells me its hidden??? anyhow it keeps coming back everytime i log onto LW it slows me down and says im sharing 491 files, which are all zip and duplicates of what i just deleted. this happens several times a day. i uninstalled LW and when i reboot, limewire pops right back up. now i cant uninstall it because its not listed in my files or in add/remove programs. is it a bug? if anyone can help that would be great. |
Close LW 1st. Then see these techniques: http://ask-leo.com/why_cant_i_delete_this_file.html How to delete files from your hard-disk: download: moveonboot.exe Make sure you have a reasonable anti virus program with up to date definitions. Also get a hold of these: 1. ad-ware (FREE), 2. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE), 3. Peerguardian (FREE) |
i used the delvin something-something.exe and i deleted all the files under my user/complete folder/.zip files. i hope that does it. my shared files got to 719  but now i have this new tab on LW, in between monitor and library, a tab that says "connections". what is this? |
