can u get sued for downloading music off of lime wire????????

Is it Legal

In canada it seems to be OK , I am in Australia it could be ilegal , but the stuff I down load you cant buy any more , record companys are not interested .
And even when I do down load a more recient song I will most likely buy the album ,so the artists dont lose . I give away art , but then I sell a lot to the same people ,yuo have to gige to get , and if they want to cart me away , I will happly paint in gail .:o :confused:
