Go to Tools > options > Searcing > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply...

Be sure they are 'real' audio files & not spammed viruses pretending to be audio files. Check their file sizes Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see).

It might be a simple case of you needing an update of codecs to play such files. Have you tried playing them with VLC player? VLC is primarily a video player but can also play a high number of audio formats.

hello guys!! How can I fix this License problem? I cant play the song

im haveing the same thing on mine telling me dont leat me copy right what the owners dont wanna shar and then i try to get a song and that license thing pops up iv had lime wire befor and never had this happen tp me! i seen the first pag i im going to un mark the thing..i live in the usa so i do hope the fbi don come after me!!!

iv done every thing to try and down load music. i even looked to see if it was Legal to get music off lime wire its legal to but as long as u keep that box marked saying dont leat me down load music copyright music owners reqest not to be shared.what should i do can some one help me i even looked for old music and it still saying the same thing..i dont want to go to jail just for down loading a song is it a error should i delete limewire or what????

Simple violation of copyright is a civil matter, i.e., you can be sued, but no jail.

I'm not sure how Limewire filters material when the box is checked. If it looks for some kind of "okay to share me" tag, I imagine your search results will be extremely limited.

I suggest you un-check the box, then read through this thread to learn more about safe downloading. Otherwise, I hear Napster is not expensive.
