Disc Problem Error

Hi,
I am Downloading some Fantasy Art Images and the Download reaches 100% ,But says it has a Disc Error.
The Name of the Download is still there along with the 100% and the Disc Error report
The Pictures are there when you Open them and you can save them to a File of your Choice.
Does any one know what it means

Disc Error

Disc errors usually means either your Hard Drive or the disc controller on your motherboard is starting to fail, first thing to do is back up your HD to CD or DVD. However, if you can't back up the whole disk then back up your data to floppy, if necessary, then get your PC checked out.

PS. I forgot to add, you must run Scandisk to see if it clears up your disk errors but you should still start making back-ups.

Not Error ,But Problem

Thanks for that
But I Typed Error instead of typing Disc Problem.
It only started to do this when I rearranged the Search types (Images,Programes,Audio) into folders that actually represented the type, Images to an Image Folder.
I have just noticed that it now says "Queued" and 100%
It does not seem to do it with other types of downloads.
I Downloaded a small audio file and it had No Problems

As you now know, disc error and disc problems are totally different things.

Anyway, from what you have written I am not sure if your disc problem still exist or you are describing how your LW "saved" folder is arranged.

As a picture is worth a thousand words (and not prone to misunderstandings) can you supply a screen print of your problem? That way I, and other forum members, will see what your problem is and, hopefully, supply a solution.

Use Paint to save your screen print as a *.jpg file, which will attach easily to your forum postings.

Unusual Problem

stogie00

I have never seen or come across a problem that looks like your screen print, may be one of the other members can come up with a solution.

Sorry.

UK Bob

PS. The screen print tells the whole story.

Have you ever done ScanDisk since that error appeared... just as a sugestion...

Are you using Norton Antivirus ???
Have you got any messages of infected files? (if yes than Norton Antivirus is not letting LW to acces that files anymore... and there is the reason for the error)

(Only after scaning your files with an antivirus) go to Library->Incomplete Files and try to Launch your files and see in what condition they are... (I think that they are 100% on your hard disk)
