nothing downloads after I request song

Okay, so I have gone over all the forums to address this issue........nothing so far

I am running windows XP sp2
I am running Limewire 4.9.28
I use a compaq presario

I have tried rather unsuccessfuly to download alot of songs(all non RIAA affiliated labels and artists) and even with 4 star results, huge amounts of sources(usually 20 to 100), and good T1, DSL connections; no song will download. I have reverted my popups to default, answered yes to all of them, changed my blocklist to keep routers and firewalls out, and checked to make sure my router was port forwarded properly. the downloads appear, and connect to multiple sources, and it still says "need more sources, waiting for busy hosts, or 0 K/bs"

is anyone else running into this problem? I was told something happened to gnutella regarding the lawsuits going on to make it harder to get stuff, although I get non copyright materials(try to anyway)or at least music that was okayed by bands to share. thanx for any help in advance

Cruelsense, It is not a good idea to go only for search results with very high sourse numbers. 100 is definitely way too high!.. It appears that it is possible for you to do a search for some totally unheard of band , and upon repeating the search get a block of results for this band from 10, 20 or more sourses each apparently , most likely from T1 or T3 connections. These files will not download, they are just planted there to try and mess the network. They are autogenerated, so whether the search is legitimate or not will not make much difference to the generating machine. Go for sources with numbers under 10 and do not expect to get downloads from high numbered sourses especially if they appear in a big blocks with n_a_m_e_s l_k_e_ t_h_i_s. Dont ignore modem hosts , you can often find miltiple modem hosts which will give you an excellent download and even some single modems will give you speeds you would not have expected;)
