Cannot download anything!!

After months of trouble free usage, I decided to upgrade to v4.9.28. Now I cannot download anything. All functions seem ok (searching, options etc) but double click on a file - Nothing. Right click select download - nothing.

I've tried using the same version on a friends PC using the same connection and it all works fine. I have tried re-installing the upgrade, but still nothing.

Can anyone tell me if I'm being monumentally stuipd?

Thanks

I'm having the same EXACT problem. Though I haven't tried re-installing. But yeah, I've come to the forums looking for an answer to this problem as well.

The old version worked perfectly fine, no problems at all. I installed the new one, and now I can't download. Everything seems to be in perfect working order, I've turned off the firewalls, I've tried playing with some of the options, yet when I double click (or right click and choose download), it simply doesn't work.

HELP US SOMEONE!

Hey, i just found the answer to this problem on a post from someone else, so here it is and it does work:

goto tools > options > searching > basic > and tick "show license warning"

there is also a typo because it says "Clear Downloads" instead of "License Warning" [edit] this typo has been fixed in the latest released version. [/edit]

you can also goto tools > options > view > popups > and click revert to default.

You Beauty!

I was starting to think about ditching LW (even though I love it), for that Torrent crap!

Thank goodness. I registered just to show my appreciation on taking the time to solve this problem. I too had the problem with downloads not initiating after downloading this latest version of LimeWire. I would reccomend the staff pinning this or making it more obvious for the many of us having this problem. It's a simple fix and a releaving one ;)

Can't thank you enough

Had to reinstall window pro...since windows 64 was nothng but crap, however Limewire worked fine the first go around installing. When I installed on windows pro...I could not download any files. It took me quite sometime to find the answer to what the problem would be, but thank for taking the time letting all of us know how to fix it...
