" Hi, LOR, I'm a newbe here and am stuck ! when I down-load a file and click to view I'm told my player can't onzipp the file or vidio. I'm running XP-Pro . I just down loaded some pics of sailboats and I can't view them ! what am I doing wrong ? Thanks

Personally I'd recommend VLC which is a player with in-built codecs & generally very reliable. Check out a link for it from here: CODECs list and alternate players for Movies

Me again LOR. I installed , VLC, my adobe reader and Java were up-dated a little while ago. I still can't launch a thing ! %100 down-loaded but won't play .. when I get the VLC drop down it has a space to enter file name ??? I such a newbe I can't stand it . Could u walk me thru a vidio launch .. ? thanks

Please post replies to the original thread you created about the same topic. Don't press New Thread.

You'll need to make VLC your default. See Setting Default video app
If you open the file from LW's library window, select the file & press launch & VLC will open it. But only if VLC is your default player.

If you want to open it outside of LW, double-click the video file after having made VLC your default.

Thanks, LOR. I wasn't aware of the protocals of posting here. I just sent an email to VLC for instructions on it's use. I didn't see anything in the drop down about setting default & their site isn't available on IE .... thanks again

Did you click on the link I gave above. That's the one underlined. If you put your cursor near it, it will change color. It will open up a page for you with instructions. ;)
