downloading problem

Iam new to limewire, and i have a problem

iam using limewire v4.9.29 pro. 256 ram is my pc memory.

my problem is that whenever i start up the limewire, the downloads that are already in que start to resume the downloading, but only for few seconds. after that, the download rate and the time remaining freeze, even though the number of hosts iam downloading from changes, and i can see it changing. two of my downloads are stuck at 99% and 98% and they are taking so long without finishing, since the download freezes after few seconds as i said b4. what is the problem and how can i solve it.

Do the downloads ever go to "veriying file contents"? Is this only happening to a few downloads or all of them that you start? The best thing to do is to not shut limewire down untill all of the downloads are complete.

no, the files do not go to "verfying file content" since limewire (downloading rate and remaining time columns" freeze after few seconds. and that happens to all the downloads, not only the two downloads with 99% and 98%.

I noticed that the limewire program is very slow, it is like that all the rams in my pc are being used, eventhough that any other application im my pc works just fine (internet explorer, all media players, etc.....) which means that the rams are not the problem. weird!!!

i noticed also that the freezing start when ever the lil bandwidth consumption bar "in the pro version" reaches 36kb/s (downloading). after that, the downloading rate, the time remaining, and even the bandwidth consumption bar freeze.!!

any idea??? please help. i am starting to lose my mind

something else, when i open limewire, a file called ".limewireiconfinder" keeps showing up and disappearing freaquently. and every time it appears it looks like a new application "the icon". some times it is a real player icon, divx icon, photoshop icon, etc.......

what is this file? and is it harmfull?

Since no one else asked: WHERE did you get your version of Limewire Pro? Sounds to me like the version you got is corrupt.

nope, it is not corrupt. it was working fine for few days. then the problem happened.

you avoided my main question: WHERE did you get it from?
