Did Tiscali's fix work? If so, how did you go about asking for it? I'm tied in with them for another 6 months or so and I'm getting fed up with ridiculously slow download speeds. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated...

ok so i rang them then they told me to email broadbandservices@uk.tiscali.com with my problem. after a few days they emailed me back saying the problem had been solved so i checked limewire and sure enough the download speeds were much faster. not sure how long this will last for got a feeling the same problem will crop up again in a few months time. speeds are now up to 120kb/sec (not sure if that the correct units?) think i could probably get more on my 1mb connection speed but at least the songs aren't painfully slow anymore. thanks for your help guys!! :D

what did you say in your email. i am with tiscali and have been struggling also

just told them that i was paying for limewire and also the premium rate for tiscali and only getting download speeds of up to 4kb/sec. asked them whether a port may be blocked and was just generally polite about the whole situation. the only thing they didnt do was tell me what the problem actually was so i could maybe sort it out if it happens again.
