Multiple corrupted files for one song

Hi, my first visit to this forum and my first post on ANY forum, I hope this is the appropriate place for my particular question.

I'm a newbie to LW Pro, having used it for just a week, and have had few problems until last night and again this morning.

I'm running XP on a Pentium III using Broadband ADSL (sorry, that's about as technical as my limited knowledge allows me to be).

I've tried downloading W* **'s "Switch" track, and my search comes up with MANY vendors, however each and every one I've tried has come up with the "corrupt" msg. Each individual vendor. And in my library, those incomplete files for Will Smith are showing in RED font ... please advise what this means.

Thanking you in anticipation, and also I've read and used some very useful info posted by "Lee"??

Regards
Terri (jubjub)

So did you see Downld/Upld Problems Sticky re: corrupted files? :) There's a few links there that might help. ;)
Lee's posts are always very good! ;)

Thanks for RAPID! response

Hi there and thank you. I have had a bit of a read this morning of some of Lee's posts, but I didn't hit any links yet but will do later this evening. (It's a beautiful spring/summer day here and I'm about to go outside instead, and wash my car) but I got very interested when I noticed the forum and took the time to register.

I've also sent an email to my brother who told me about LW last week and who's been using it for slightly longer than I have. I told him that the forum in here looks pretty good and he should register for it. He is a lot more "techno" minded than I am and will probably get a lot of benefit from participating in the forum.

Cheers! and thanks again for the reply.
Terri

I don't know which city you're in but it's also a nice spring day here also. Yep the link about the mp3 bit-rates versus file sizes is one you should particularly have a read about. And keeping in mind about most popular files & T3 sources. That's where you need to be wary. ;)

Hello again

Hi again

I don't know if you're in Australia or know it, but I'm on the Gold Coast in Queensland, it's 3.15pm and absolutely brilliant outside. I'm just about to start getting the car wet and will come back in to surf around and check the forum again in a few hours.

I am fairly computer literate as far as word processing, spreadsheets and Googling etc, but because I'm new to lime it will take me a while to understand some of the topics discussed, including your previous message. :(

However I'll be having a good look at some of the links later as I want to make the most of lime. A few years ago I was a reg in mIRC and enjoyed it, though looking back now it was pretty basic in those days compared with services like Lime.

Well, I'm hitting the hot water, chamois and suds. We've had a drought here so the car's not getting washed as often as it should. Are you an Aussie?
Regards
Terri
